Tatte was founded in 2007 by Israeli-born baker Tzurit Or, who started selling cookies and tarts at Boston's Copley Square farmers market before opening a Brookline storefront in 2008. The bakery-café now has dozens of locations around Boston, Washington, D.C. and the New York area, known for its nut tarts, Mediterranean breakfasts and signature shakshuka.
